Abstract Submissions

Submissions of abstracts are invited for the following categories:

• Audit and Quality Improvement papers
• Case reports
• Original clinical research papers
• Basic science papers

Abstracts should be prepared using our Microsoft Word templates which be downloaded below. Those not following the format will unfortunately be returned. Please save with your surname in the filename. Submissions should be emailed to: sweam1@gmail.com

Abstract submission for SWEAM 2023 will begin on February 6th 2023.

Abstract Deadline 30th April 2023.

We encourage all speciality registrars and core trainees, non-training grade doctors and medical students to submit their work.

As this is a regional meeting, presenting at this meeting does not prevent you from presenting the same work at a national or international meeting.

We aim to inform authors whether or not their submissions have accepted by 14th May but please book you study leave in time. It can always be cancelled! All papers will be considered for oral presentation; those not successful will be considered for poster presentation.

The abstracts of presentations chosen for oral presentation will be printed online in ‘The Journal of Laryngology and Otology (JLO)’. Publication of these abstracts will not prevent you from submitting the full paper to any other journal.

Thanks for your time and good luck! Look forward to seeing you at the meeting.
